Across Utah

We are slowly making our way north and plan to be near Flaming Gorge tomorrow.  As expected, it’s been very hot across Utah, so we are hoping for some cooler weather soon.  Other than seeing lots of deer and a small group of pronghorns there hasn’t been a lot of wildlife yet but that will hopefully improve as we get into the higher mountains.

The drive across the Navajo Nation in northern AZ was interesting as they have been hit very hard by the virus.  The evening after we passed through, they were going into a 57-hour total shutdown.  One of the villages we passed had all their streets barricaded off so no one could enter or exit.  However, less than 10 miles down the road (off Navajo land) it was business as normal in Blanding UT.  As we went through Blanding a funeral was just getting out and there was a huge crowd standing outside the church with no masks in sight….

Found this cave high on a cliff near our campground near Blanding UT.  Would love to know who built the wall and how they did it…
